Where:
- Online: we can meet with you / your child via Google Meet
- At a student’s home: if appropriate. This may be necessary when a young person is struggling to leave their room / the house.
- At Alia: if / when a student feels comfortable to be on campus, they can spend time in our cosy re-engagement room. This room has its own access directly from the carpark, so students can come straight into the room without having to pass by any other students, or sign in at the front office etc – things that we know can be challenging.
- At your child’s current school: if required, we can set up round-table meetings at your child’s current school
When:
School Re-Engagement Support runs every Tuesday and Thursday during term time from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Harriet can also be available for support outside of these times for conversations with parents and / or other schools or allied health professionals.
How does the process work?
We start with a free 45-minute introductory Google Meet.
From there we work out what type of support is required, a likely time-line, and create a plan to suit you and your child. All costs will be discussed in this initial meeting.
There is the option for young people with NDIS to use their Capacity Building funding.
