When did you start working Alia?
1999
Tell us about something interesting you did in class this year?
We hosted Japanese students from the Tohoku tsunami disaster area, for a week. They shared their food, music, dance and their stories with us. Later that year, an alia student had the opportunity to visit Japan, and live with a host a family, fully immersed in the local culture.
What do you enjoy about teaching your subjects?
I enjoy seeing students progress and develop lifelong skills.
What do you like about working at Alia?
Alia provides a human learning environment that builds trust between students and teachers.
What do you get up to with your time outside school?
Taking the time to slow down, and connect with nature. I love spending time with my dog, walking down the beach, or to the park.
