At Alia, we always start the year with a school camp. For 2023 we lugged our junk to Lorne, and took over the foreshore caravan park for three nights.
Activities included learning to surf, music by the beach, barbecuing EVERYTHING, walks to town, walks back to camp, a long walk along the Erskine River, a visit to the Round the Twist lighthouse (which most were too young to appreciate as anything but a lighthouse, and not THE lighthouse), a unending board game about birds (!?), setting up, packing up, surviving and thriving.
