At the end of July, seven students in Years 7 and 8 are visiting Alia College on a short study tour from China. The students are visiting for two weeks to experience both Australia and the alternative education system at Alia.
It is great to have international students visit Alia like this, so that we can share our cultures and learn from each other. The 10 Chinese students will join the Junior class, going to classes with them as per the usual timetable. We have also organised a couple of surprise events for the Junior classes to take place on the two Wednesday mornings (1 Aug & 8 Aug).
So, if you see a student around the traps that doesn’t look familiar, be sure to stop and say a Bob-style welcome and say ‘G’day, where are you from?!’
